Soda Tax Study Picked Apart By Experts

In a Los Angeles Times health blog on January 27, 2010, reporter Karen Kaplan wrote of the scientific community’s opposition to a New England Journal of Medicine article that said that taxing sodas would decrease obesity in America. Several scientists wrote reports to the NEJSM picking apart the original study, which Kaplan calls “well-meaning but misguided,” and none wrote in support of it.
